Brad Clay is senior vice president and chief information and compliance officer for Lexmark International. He is responsible for all aspects of digital transformation including strategy and thought leadership. In addition to these duties, he oversees worldwide IT operations, applications, cyber and physical security, data privacy and internal audit.
Prior to assuming this role in November 2016, Clay served as Lexmark’s chief information officer and was also responsible for the company’s acquisition integration activities. Before that he was director of finance, planning and sales operations for the North American geographic business unit.
Clay joined Lexmark in 2002 and has held a number of different positions in global solution delivery and global architecture strategy for Lexmark’s Information Technology department. Other roles included director of supply base management strategic sourcing as well as director of strategic business planning, analysis and strategic initiatives.
Prior to Lexmark, Clay held a number of senior leadership positions in corporations including Qwest, Eaton and Chevron, covering a wide range of disciplines such as manufacturing, product management and development, finance, marketing and sales.
Clay holds a bachelor’s degree in general engineering/computer science from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point and a master’s degree in managerial economics from the University of Oklahoma.
