Software Alliance Manager

The Software Alliance Manager bridges development, manufacturing, marketing research, sales, and technical activities to manage a portfolio of software alliance partners. Will plan, develop, and implement marketing programs for assigned partners to increase product sales growth and expand market share for both Lexmark and partners. Will ensure products are marketed within budget to obtain maximum profitability. Will evaluate and adjust tools and processes to respond to changing and /or competitive markets. Will guide partner introductions and partner updates to the rest of the Lexmark organization.

The mission of this individual will be to identify, develop and maintain relationships with industry leading software organizations.  Primary responsibility will be support for process creation and the build-out of Lexmark’s software partner program along with ongoing project management in support of Lexmark’s partner strategy.  In addition, will identify market opportunities with partners where Lexmark and the partner will have ways to drive business jointly.  Candidates must have exceptional project management talent. They must also demonstrate an understanding of the components of moving a product from inception to a customer deliverable.

Specific responsibilities include:

  • Ongoing project management in support of Lexmark’s partner strategy
  • Collecting and organizing Lexmark’s current partner portfolio
  • Evaluating and categorizing our current portfolio
  • Ongoing management of Lexmark’s eSF partner program and Lexmark’s other integration programs as needed
  • Managing Lexmark’s partner portfolio – both technical and business
  • Managing partner logistics to include: contracts, fulfillment and revenue recognition
  • Examining operational metrics to provide feedback and support business decisions
  • Part number management for specific partner offerings
  • Supporting partner marketing and sales enablement efforts
  • Assisting in the creation of processes and process build-out of Lexmark’s software partner program
  • Assisting in developing the partner program strategy
  • Collaborating with sales enablement team to create required business content to ensure partner success to include:
    • Sales scripting
    • Line of business contacts
    • Training content
    • Website content 
  • Examining operational metrics to provide feedback and support business decisions to include:
    • Ongoing partner revenue totals
    • Sales funnel activity
    • Sales activity metrics
    • Partner win / loss metrics

Preferred Skills:

  • 5+ years of progressively responsible experience in project management
  • Knowledge of software partner programs and relationships
  • Ability to interface with partners, sales team and customers
  • Marketing experience a plus
  • Strong writing skills are a must
  • Working knowledge of the software industry a strong plus
  • Bachelor of Science / Bachelor of Arts

Travel: 

  • Travel anticipated to be less than 25% and could also include some international travel based on the needs of the business.
